Latest gadget
WALT use write cause and effect sentences.
To be successful we will:
- Think about an cause (event) and what happens because of it (effect)
- Use cause and effect connectives such as because of this, as a result, as a consequence and when this happens…
- Check that full stops are at the end of the idea (remember it will be simple, compound or complex)
One problem with the latest gadget is that everyone is throwing the old gadget out and buying the new gadgets. It’s like no one likes PlayStation 3 everyone likes PlayStation 4, iPhone 7, fit bit and mac book pros. It’s like all the latest gadgets are going viral. All the old gadgets are getting thrown away. As a result countries ship the e-waste to India, China, Ghana, Nigeria and Pakistan. The cause of this everyone saving up for the new gadgets. I think i was successful because I can see my cause and effect.

Last week Mum,dad, kiana(sister) and I when going to Rarotonga for a holiday. Man!! It’s been forever When are we gonna get on the plane to Rarotonga ? I moaned. Two more hours Mum said. I can't wait to go to Rarotonga it’s gonna be really fun. Two hours later finally we are on the plane but it’s gonna take awhile to get to rarotonga. About three hours and fifty five minutes I looked outside to see if I could see anything but all I saw was one little glowing sparkle. I quickly explained to my mum if that little glowing sparkle of light was rarotonga. See said yes. And all these shining lights appeared from nowhere. Haha Rarotonga’s on my side. I giggled. She said oh man I really wanted to see to before you. We had landed it was so hot I could melt. it was so cool because we left the airport on Monday and got to Rarotonga on Sunday so we went back to yesterday so we went back in time. We did all the airport stuff and hopped on bus,It took a while for the man to come. We were on the road and suddenly... all these coconuts appeared OMG I said in my mind. When I saw all these coconut tree it felt like I was in heaven. Am I dreaming ? I thought to myself.
In the morning I said to my dad i’ve already been in this day. Their was a pool with a slide and when you hop on the slide you go straight in the pool. We got some scooters and went for a ride around the whole island it took about 45 minutes. When we got back it said game room and of course i'm gonna go in the game room. There was a pool table, ping pong table and this soccer game and when you look to your left there is a tennis court. The next day I went to play on the big rocks I saw a coconut on the ground. I picked it up and smashed it on the rock. Rarotonga felt like paradise. I felt lucky that I got to go to Rarotonga Because not many people a that lucky.

Dance
W.A.L.T use note taking skills putting other ideas into our own words.
In our class we have been learning about elements of dance.
The dance elements are awareness, space and time.
The ideas I like dancing to are Freeze frames.
Here is my story about E-Waste.
E-waste is something that you throw out like laptops, mobile phone, washing machine, dryer, tablets, ipads and heaps more. All those things you just throw out when you can sell them or even throw the part that doesn’t work out and get replaced. I don't think it’s a good idea to just throw your old phone out and buy the latest gadget and for computers it’s the same like if you have a hp and throw it out and save up for the macbook pro it’s just ridiculous. We make about 25 million gadget’s thrown out a year. But it’s cheaper to get a new one than getting it fixed.
We are making a class dance about E-waste.
Here is a video and a picture of us dancing.

I love Problem Solving don't you.
I am learning to share my thinking by using words, material or pictures.
What I thought was hard was getting the answers.
What I thought what was easy was doing easy ones.
